Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

PSALMS 1:1-3

In our last teaching, we discovered that our eternal reward will be dependent on whether or not our works on earth were inspired by the Word, love or spirit of God. Many dear saints have tried to serve the Lord Christ as prescribed but have failed because they depended solely on willpower, self discipline self discipline or self denial. That’s sure not going to work! The Master Himself has told us that, “sheer muscle and willpower don’t make anything happen” (John 6:63 Msg).

The only way to make sure all you do is motivated by the word of God is to saturate your heart with God’s word. Let God change the way you thing by meditating on His word (Rom 12:2). Soon you’d discover that you think on the word of God always and like you know, your thought determines you words and actions. Furthermore, meditating on the word helps you access the power to do the Word from the Word Himself. God’s words are not just information. They carry the divine energy to accomplish whatever it says (Isaiah 55:10-11). You access that energy by meditation.

Our scriptures for today thus shows us that delighting and meditating on the Word makes us fruitful and prosper in our doings. Because the word of God has eternity in contemplation, prosperity here, being unqualified refers to prosperity in this realm and the next. This means that we will be rewarded by God here on earth and when our works are also judged in heaven, we shall have reward.

Would you not rather spent 1 hour with the word of God so as to put value on your remaining 23 hours and make them worthy of reward across eternity, than rushing out to come back with harvest of dead works–24hours of unprofitable labour? Remember, “It is vain for you to rise upearly, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows…” The time you spend with the Word of God is worth it. Never step out of your room without meditating on it because walking by it is what put eternal value into your day’s work.

Father thank you for showing me the secrete of eternal success.

I receive grace to delight and continually meditate on the word of God

I declare that I am being changed by the word of God. The word is transforming my spirit soul and body. It is changing the way I think and I’m becoming fruitful in every good work

Father of all grace and glory, I pray for your church that according to your riches in glory, you would cause all grace to abound towards us so that we always having all sufficiency may abound unto every good work

Father I pray for our nation. You said the rod of the wicked shall not rest on the lot of the righteous. I ask today that you’d break the rule and dominion of the wicked and of evil men from over this nation for the sakes of your children
