GRACE WHEREIN WE STAND: Grace the Teacher

For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, 12Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world

Titus 2:11-12

A self-defence instructor would not only give you oral instruction on  how to defend yourself but would take you through exercises and drill that would help you develop the right strength, sense, speed and skill. These abilities are inherent within our natural bodies. The training only bring them out and make them available for our use when the need arises. In the same vein grace is our trainer and instructor. The word translated “teaching” in the KJV refers to training. In other words, grace is now our schoolmaster in the same way as the law was the school master of the Jews to bring them to Christ (Gal 3:24).  Grace gives us instructions on how to conduct out lives now that we are born again: and more importantly, grace trains us and develops in us, the relevant ability to live a godly and divine life. The ability is resident in our spirit man. But the tutelage of grace helps us to discover them and know how to harness them when the needs arise.

If you pay close attention to the word of God’s grace, He’d build you up (Act 20:32). The same grace that appeared to all men through the gospel, is now appearing to all the saints through the Word of Grace which Paul refers to as Word of this Life. Just like the gospel of grace is received through faith for it to become the power of God unto salvation, the word of grace must be received through faith for it to build us up.

Do you want the divine life that is in you to manifest, let grace to train you. Study and meditate on the Word of Life given to us by grace and fellowship with the Spirit of Grace in the light of the truth that the Word of life floods your heart with. This will spur the heart of gratitude and the love of God in you. It will make you to desire to live for God. This is how to continue in the truth. Jesus says, “Everyone that continues in the truth shall know the truth” (John 8:32) and the truth shall cause them to experience the rest, liberty (a life without any form of limitation hindrance or opposition) that is associated with divinity. It is a gradual process, but at least start today and soon, you’d begin to see visible changes for good.

LET US PRAY

Thank you father for the word of Grace that you’ve appointed to train me

I submit myself to the training of the Word and Spirit of Grace. I am built up and the divine life of God in me is manifesting to the glory of God in Jesus Name

Father, Cause your grace to be multiplied unto your church that we might be trained thereby to the glory of your name in Jesus Name
