GRACE WHEREIN WE STAND: Supply of the Spirit 3

Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

Rom 8:26-27

The Lord leads His saints in the path of righteousness for His Name sake. But there are times when indulgence in mundanity blurs our sensitivity to the Spirit such that we seem to wander into the valley of the shadow of death with ditches everywhere. The enemy may deceive the saint by past exploits into neglecting his personal fellowship with the Spirit which is His fountainhead. Like Peter, he begins to boast in perceived personal abilities and ignore the master’s warning to watch and pray. Then suddenly the enemy surrounds him like strong bulls of Bashan, desiring to sieve him like wheat. Even then, the Holy Spirit (our standby) still has a supply for us: intercession

The Holy Spirit, our comforter raises intercession for us. But most of His activities in the earth realm he does through those in whom He dwells. When Jesus was the only one filed with the Holy Ghost on earth, He was in Jesus interceding for Peter that his faith failed him not. Even now, the Holy Spirit also intercedes for you so you don’t have to fall. He does so using our own mouths when we pray in the Spirit. At other times when we’re not even sensitive enough to yield to His leadings, He raises up intercessions for us through other saints.

I once passed through such a difficulty that I considered the toughest time in my Christian experience. One day while talking to someone about it, it was like the Holy Spirit took over my mouth and I heard myself saying “but Brother Banks is praying for me“. At that time, I wasn’t close to the brother (he was not even anywhere within 200 kilometers then) and no one else knew my challenges. Then after few weeks, I eventually met the brother and the first thing he said was “what’s that thing you considered the toughest time in your Christian walk? The Holy Spirit woke me up for some consecutive days to intercede for you for hours“. Oh… what a joy to know God could wake up someone else to intercede for me

God still does that today. That’s why you should never hesitate when He nudges you to pray. No matter what you’re doing, excuse yourself and go to pray. Whether you know why He asks you to pray or not, just pray with your spirit and in the Holy Ghost. The Holy Spirit may be using your mouth to intercede for you about some issues in the future or to save a very desperate situation in your life or the life of others. Acknowledge this ministry of the Spirit and this supply of the Spirit is yours.

Thank you Father for the Supply of the Spirit

I yield myself to the Holy Spirit. I pray at His nudging. I pray always. The Holy Spirit is using me to intercede according to the will of God

Father cause your church to acknowledge and yield to the ministry of the Spirit in a greater degree in Jesus Name
