HOW TO LIVE THE VICTORIOUS LIFE OF FREEDOM IN CHRIST

As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him

Col 2:6

One major question that occupies the heart of many genuine children of God is how to live the life of a Christian. A life free  from the works and oppressions of the devil. Some have got this thing they call their easily besetting sin which floors them every so often. And they wonder how they can be wholly free from sin. The rest which Christ promises seems to be more of a fantasy than real. And because the Christian doesn’t want to believe that his dear Lord Jesus lied to him, he placates himself with the thought that these spiritual blessings that the Scriptures talk about are likely to be symbolic allegoric or something to be experienced in the blessed bye and bye. And so begins the journey of the young Christian into a life of doubt not sure if he could step out on the Word of God.

But God’s Word is real and true. Rest is your now. You can live the victorious Christian life daily. So how can you experience it? How can you walk in Christ daily? Just the same way you received Jesus–by faith! Many had faith in Jesus and were saved by grace through faith. But now they want to live the life in Christ through their own efforts. It doesn’t work that way (Gal 3:3). The righteous must LIVE daily by FAITH (Rom1:17). How do you live by faith?

You receive faith by receiving the Word of God into your spirit through meditation (Rom 10:17). Then do the Word by CONFESSION and Profession. Jesus says that that’s is how to be His disciple. He says; “If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” (John 8:31-32). The Word of God brings the truth to you and as you walk in it by faith, your freedom in Christ manifests.

That is simple enough right? But many stumble over the simplicity of God. They can’t understand why God is not interested in their impute. They expect to be required to exert some great efforts. Indeed they have exerted much. Some have fasted, cried, done penance, made resolutions and covenants asking God to maim them if they ever made another mistake. Well, they’ve fallen into the same errors times and again. Thank goodness God did not take their funny covenant seriously. All you need to do is to know the truth and walk in the word by faith. God would handle the rest. God wants to manifest freedom from sin sickness death and poverty in your life. He wants you to live a free life in Christ. The life of Rest is yours now.
