LORD, thou hast heard the desire of the humble: thou wilt prepare their heart, thou wilt cause thine ear to hear.

Psalms 10:17

Yesterday, we found out that it is up to us to make up our minds and determine to live a life of integrity and holiness. Today, I want you to know that when you purpose in your heart to live by the word of God and you actually set out to do so, God supplies the strength and enabling environment. This is grace at work–grace for integrity. Did you notice what our text for today says? It explains to us that when you have humbled yourself by resolving to live by God’s word, God who hears the thoughts of your heart takes notice of such noble desire.

But Jesus teaches us what to do with desires. He expects us to pray with them (Mark 11:24). As you do so, you’re placing a legitimate demand on the Throne of Grace and the Bible says that God will cause His ear to hear and He’d prepare your heart (the original language conveys the following meanings: to make firm, stable, steadfast, resolved, establish or direct aright). So in essence, God causes a strong spiritual influence upon your mind to help reinforce your resolution. Paul knew about this and he said, “…it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.” (Phil 2:13)

You see, God is able to keep you faultless (Jude 24). He will ”…make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ” (Heb 13:21).
The bible says God is able to make you faithful to your commitment (Rom 14:4). Trust in his grace. Jesus says “… My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness...”(Rom 12:9). You don’t need to struggle to live a holy life anymore. Just resolve in your heart to live a holy life of integrity and then trust in his grace. His grace is available all the time. You only need to “come boldly to the throne of grace through the prayer of faith and obtain mercy and find grace to help…” your decision (Heb 4:16)

Father, thank you because your grace is always available for us

I declare that the Holy Spirit is working in me. He give me grace for a holy life of integrity. I don’t fail in times of adversity, glory to God

I receive grace to help in time of need. I obtain mercy to be faithful in the name of Jesus

Father thou the very God of peace I pray for your church that you’d sanctify us wholly; and that our whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Father Faithful are you who have called us. I know you’d do it so I praise your name for answers in Jesus Name

I also pray for my country that you’d cause a revolution of integrity and as we progress towards elections, give us leaders that are wholly given to integrity.
