Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is.  If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

1 Corinthians 3:13-15

One thing is certain dearly beloved. You are beyond condemnation. Contrary to what some people believe, no Christian that has received eternal life by believing in the resurrection of Jesus and by confessing His Lordship will ever be judged, let alone condemned. The Christian is above condemnation because Jesus was judged and condemned on our behalf (Rom 8:-2). Thus the Great White Throne Judgement is not meant for us. However, there’s another kind of judgement for the Christian. It is not a judgement for life or condemnation, it is a judgement for reward.

After the rapture of the Christians and before the Second Coming of Christ, we shall stand before the judgement seat of Jesus Christ and Jesus shall examine our works on earth to see what reward we are worthy of. This is where our works shall be tried. Dead works which are works not motivated by the Word, the Love and the Spirit of Christ, will attract no reward.

If all you have been doing are dead works, works (works motivated by self aggrandisement, selfishness, lust, eye service, showmanship, etc), they will burn as hay and will attract no reward. Then such a Christian–though saved will be like one that escaped from an inferno–escaping with nothing but just their lives. God shall reward you according to how your work shall be (Col3:23-25; Rev 22:12).

People may praise you as a great Bishop or Apostle; but in God’s eyes, you may not be worthy of as much reward as that sincere sanctuary keeper that cleans the church, doing it as unto the Lord. You may be a miracle worker praying 10 hours a day. You may not be worthy of rewards as much reward as that sincere sales girl, house girl or petrol sales attendant who does her works as unto the Lord. The determinant of reward is your motivation. Repent from dead works. Let your works been motivated by the Love the Word and the Spirit of Christ. That way you would and add eternal value to your work

Father I thank you for opening my eyes to understand how to make my work on earth receive eternal value and reward

Father I repent of every dead work today and I receive grace to do everything I do as unto the Lord

Father open my eyes to see every area that I have been producing dead works and help me to make amends

Father help me to walk according to the directions of your Word, love and spirit

Father I pray for your church that you would grant unto us to walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God

Father I pray for this nation, by terrible things in righteousness, frustrate the insurrection of the wicked against your church and the peace of this nation.
