Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: 9 Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.

1Pet 1:8-9

Have you ever wondered why the martyrs both young and old, feeble and frail could gladly face their deaths? Though cruel they were, yet with such joy, they died praying for their assailants. Have you ever considered the contentment of men gone by who wandered in caves and dens yet filled with joy than princes could ever understand? They were contented to know the Lord was theirs. It is because, beyond the letters of the Bible, they saw the Loved Unseen.

We were told of the love of Jesus, how He died to save our soul. More than that we came to know He lives forevermore. He’s alive for our justification and He lives to intercede for us. But beyond the pages of the scriptures, have you met the Loved Unseen. When Thomas shouted “My Lord and my God” because he saw the risen Lord, Jesus replied with a prophecy. He tells of a blessed people who would believe in Him without seeing Him. He knew He’d dwell in their hearts and beyond any argument, beyond anything on earth, they’d know and love Him even though unseen

You may wonder why you don’t feel that love and why you’re so cold within. The Spirit of Christ is still in you though, shedding this love abroad in your heart. However, you might have been lured by the deceitfulness of riches and the glamour of the present world to turn away from the fountain of living water and dug for yourself broken cistern that holds no water. You might have been satiated with the chaff of the present world and the foul waters of men’s tradition (presented as doctrine) fed to you by shepherds who having drunk of deep waters feed the flock with foul mess (Ezek 34). But beloved, you have a chance of experiencing true love

Just turn to the Holy Spirit. Learn of Jesus. Forsake your broken cisterns, come to the fountain of Living Water. Dive deep into the river of unfeigned love. Come with simplicity and meekness. Desire one thing–to know the Lord and His love. As you meditate on His love over you, as you worship him for every revelation of same and as you seek to know His love even deeper, you’d come to love that knows no end. This love can keep you from sin. It can keep you from falling and it can make you do anything for God and be sure, the labour of such love can’t go unrewarded. Welcome to the Loved Unseen.

Thank you, Father, for your undying love for me

Father cause my heart to become sensitive to your love and to reflect the same love

Turn our hearts oh Lord from beholding the vanities of this world and turn us to you the fountain of the Living Water.
