And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD

Isa 11:2 KJV

The first dimension or manifestation of the Holy Spirit as shown in our opening scripture is the Spirit of the Lord or the Spirit of Lordship. Operating as the Spirit of the Lord, the Holy Spirit equips, prepares, uses, leads and instruct God’s children in service unto God. He equips you to do great things for God. When Mary was to give birth to Jesus in a most unprecedented manner, the Angel told her that,

“The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee…” (Luke 1:35).

When you yield to the Spirit of the Lord, you cease to operate by your power, wisdom or will. The Holy Spirit becomes the source of your energy and inspiration. He’s therefore responsible for the product of that union. At that point it is not you acting but God. Just like Mary, you only provide your body as an instrument for the operations of the Spirit and if you fully yield to Him, He’d use your body like it is His own. Then his possibilities become your possibilities. The product of that union is unstoppable

For WHATSOEVER [that is, anything that] is born of God overcometh the world” (1John 5:4).

If He preached through you for example, nothing in the world can resist your word. When Peter preached under that power, he had 3000 converts instantly. If he gave you a concept, it must sell. If He made you lay hands on the sick, they must recover. Why? because as at that time, its not you but the Spirit of the Lord that is responsible for those things

How do you get this Spirit of the Lord to operate in you? The Spirit is already in you if you’re born again. But it is your disposition towards Him that largely determine the dimension of His operation in your life. If you desire the dimension of the Spirit of the Lord to operate in your life, you must learn to yield yourself to Him as His servant and wait on Him like a waiter would wait on a Lord.

“Those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for and hope in Him] shall change and renew their strength and power…” (Isaiah 40:31 Amp).

That means their power is exchanged for God’s. That’s why they do the impossible effortlessly. How do you wait? You wait with strong desire to see His will done. You wait as a weaned child till you’ve silenced the noise of personal passion and the murmur of self will (Psalm 131). You wait in child-like trust and and expectation. You sure want the Spirit and power of God to find expression in you, right? Then you have to learn to wait on Him for baptism with the Spirit of the Lord. He will surely come but only when you’re done with serving yourself and mammon.

  1. Thank you Father for giving me your Spirit without measure
  2. I declare that the fullness of the Holy Spirit is in me
  3. I yield myself totally to the Spirit of the Lord. Holy Spirit overshadow me now and let the power of the Highest take over me
  4. I receive grace to yield totally and wait on the Spirit of the Lord till I’m fully imbued with His unlimited grace and energy.
